Who Is Served?
All persons experiencing problems related to alcohol and/or other drug abuse or gambling are eligible to receive treatment services.

How To Get Services?
Services are provided on an appointment basis. Referrals are welcome. To schedule an appointment, call the local office or stop by during regular office hours.

Office Hours: 
8 a.m. - 5p.m., Monday - Friday
Evening groups available

All services are strictly confidential and available by appointment only.  Individual, family, and group sessions are available.

Fees
 
  · Counseling Services - sliding fee scale based on household income and family size.* Medicaid and health insurance accepted.

 
  · Court and Drivers License Appeal Assessments - set fee.

 
  · Gambling Counseling - determined according to individual income and ability to pay.

To qualify for a reduced fee, clients must reside in the following counties: Alger, Chippewa, Delta, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, and Schoolcraft.

Services Available:
  • Screening and Assessment
    -
    Individual interview and completion of diagnostic tests to determine the extent of substance abuse or gambling problems and recommend appropriate educational or treatment services.
  • Individual Counseling
    - One-to-One sessions tailored to meet the special needs of each person. Treatment plan developed with counselor.
  • Group Counseling
    • Recovery
      -
      A weekly group providing support for abstinence from alcohol and other drugs and group exercises to enhance recovery and relapse prevention skills.
    • Women's
      -
      Weekly group for women addressing issues, such as self-esteem, parenting, relationships and abuse, which may be relapse triggers.
    • Choices
      -
      Weekly group focused on increasing participants' motivation to change through exploration of beliefs, attitudes, values, and behaviors regarding substance use and the development of new problem solving skills.
    • Discovery
      -
      Eight session program to assist participants in self evaluation of their alcohol and/or drug use and to explore options for change.
  • Women's Specialty Services
    - Treatment and case management services meeting the special needs of women with children, including  assistance with transportation and child care.
  • Co-Occurring Disorder Services
    Specialized individual and group counseling, case management/coordination, referral and support services for individuals with diagnosed substance abuse and mental health problems.
  • Problem Gambling Services
    - Screening and assessment and counseling services for problem gamblers and their family members and public education provided by a specially trained counselor.
