- Review plans for new or extensively remodeled facilities
- Conduct hearings to obtain compliance with state standards
- Groundwater Quality Control
- Issue permits for private and small public water supplies
- Sample and evaluate drinking supplies
- Verify well construction
- Advise about water quality problems
- Provide water analysis bottles
- On-Site Sewage Treatment/Disposal
- Evaluate sites for on-site sewage treatment/disposal systems
- Provide home loan evaluations
- Issue permits for on-site sewage treatment/Disposal systems construction and repair
- Other Services
- Provide inspection, consultation, and/or surveillance of day care centers, foster care
facilities, mobile home parks, subdivisions, campgrounds, and swimming pools
