Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties is offering food service sanitation training free of charge to anyone involved in providing food to the public.  The training will include causes and prevention of food-borne illnesses, sanitation procedures, Michigan Food Law, and the inspection process.  Participation certificates will be issued.  Please note:  This is a basic course which has been offered in the past and is not accredited by Michigan Department of Agriculture.  The courses will run approximately 3 hours and are being offered on April 30, 2007, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and again from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm EDT in Room 952 of the Joseph P. Heirman University Center located on the campus of Bay De Noc Community College at 2001 N. Lincoln Road, Escanaba.  Please contact the Environmental Health Division in Escanaba at (906) 786-9692 to register.  Registration is necessary, as class size is limited.
