Skillet Balls*

1/2 Cup dry powdered milk
1/4 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup peanut butter
1 egg
1/2 Cup water
1 Tsp. vanilla
1-2 Cups cereal (quick-cooking oats, wheat or bran flakes, rice cereal)

  1. Put the dry milk, sugar, peanut butter, egg and water in a skillet. Stir and cook over low heat until it thickens - about 3 minutes.
  2. Watch carefully. When smooth and thick, stir in the vanilla and cereal. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. Take a teaspoon full of batter. Roll it between the palms of your hands to make a little ball. Set on waxed paper.
  4. If you want to make these extra-special (but with extra calories), roll them in coconut, cereal or chopped peanuts.
