Program overview

Healthy Families Upper Peninsula is a free voluntary home visitation program, designed to help strengthen families. Families who participate in the program receive support from a home visitor who understands being a parent isn’t always easy. In fact, parenting is hard. Every parents needs support and encouragement. Your baby’s relationship with you impacts their ability to trust and learn both now and in the future. A Healthy Families home visitor can help you build a positive relationship with your child.


Healthy Families UP support workers are here to:

  • Offer you support
  • Provide you education on child development and parenting
  • Help you set goals for your family
  • Provide you guidance and the tools you need to achieve your goals

If you live in the Upper Peninsula Michigan, and you are:

  • Expecting a baby, or
  • Have a baby less than 3 months old, You may qualify of Healthy Families Upper Peninsula Home Visitation Program. If you’re interested or know someone else who could benefit please contact Delta and Menominee Health Department.
